Gareth Johnson (pictured) came for a custom fit session this week after his brother in law (to be) had gone through the same process and he had witnessed first-hand the huge improvement in his game, he was keen to experience the same with his game!

Gareth's current set are TaylorMade RBZ's, these are only 4 years old but had not been custom fitted. I have witnessed in the studio during custom fit sessions that any irons over 2 years old are at a performance disadvantage compared to current irons. How old are your irons?

Osmor Trophy 

Last Bank Holiday Monday, Hassocks Golf Club held the annual Osmor Trophy. This is played by the top finishers from the year-long Order of Merit. With the course in good condition and the weather set fair, the scoring proved to be very good.

Joe Leonard started the competition looking to 'do the double' having already claimed the Order of Merit trophy and came incredibly close! Joe returned a fantastic score of nett 66, unfortunately this was only enough to lose out on countback. Wade Ayling emerged victorious with an equally superb gross 74 nett 66, Wade's superior back nine proving to be the difference - nett 28 to nett 32. Wade is pictured (right) collecting his trophy from Greg, our GM.

The Pro Shop was well represented by Alex Mullins with Alex claiming third spot with a gross 70 nett 67. A fine round but a double bogey at the 17th following a tee shot into the water proved to be very costly, losing out by a single shot.

Well played to everyone.  

Wade's fantastic day continued as he recorded the only 2 during the competition. His joy was doubled as it was also a roll-over pot, meaning he scooped £72 for his 2. Or £36 per shot!
