I'm delighted to announce there will be a new addition to the Pro Shop team! Allison, my wife, and I are expecting our second child.
The baby is due in mid-July, just in time for the Club Championship and the British Open. Hopefully the 'little one' will be playing in both in years to come. My first child, Ava, turned three last week; I have already started her lessons for her future career on the LPGA Tour.

Congratulations to Paul Gumbrell (pictured here) on winning the January Midweek Medal. Paul returned a very good score of 35 points in very difficult conditions, to continue his recent good form and his regular appearances in the newsletter. Chris Blake finished second with a score of 34 stableford points, beating Tim Osman into third place by one point.
The recent trend of the competition standard scratch score increasing continued last Tuesday, moving up 2 shots to 70. No 2's were recorded during the competition; therefore the 2's pot will be a roll-over to the next midweek competition on Tuesday, 10 February (Medal). This will be a triple roll-over pot.
