Lombard Qualifier - Have you signed up to play in the March Stableford this Saturday (March 7th)? Would you like to play a round of golf with me on the Old Course at Walton Health? The winner of this weekend's competition goes forward to represent the club at the regional finals on Wednesday, 8 July 2015. Easter Meeting - The sign-up sheet for the Easter Meeting is now on the competition board. The competition will be held on Easter Sunday - April 5th 2015, with the first tee from 8.00am. The format for the competition is Medal with prizes for the best Gross and Nett scores, as well as nearest the pin and longest drive competitions.

Prizegiving - Following the Easter Meeting the quarterly prizegiving will take place. Please make sure you attend if you have won a prize. Everyone is welcome; please bring your family along to celebrate your success. The approximate start time for the presentation is 3.00pm.

This time of year is very exciting, we are receiving new product into the store daily. Please come in store next time you are at the club to see everything we have to offer.

This week we have received a complete delivery from TaylorMade of their 2015 clubs, including the R15 driver and AeroBurner fairway woods. Both products have already been heavily used by professionals on the PGA and European Tours. Padraig Harrington used a R15 driver to win at Doral last weekend in a playoff. We have also taken delivery of adidas' Spring Summer Collection for 2015. This contains shorts, trousers, shirts and performance tops. The collection contains shirts with adidas' new climachill technology: the shirt has aluminium dots on the inside of the shirt that conduct heat away from your body to keep you cool on hot days. Very clever!

 

I am delighted to announce my wife and I are expecting a little baby boy. Last Thursday, my wife had a 20 week scan and we decided to find out the sex of the baby. This means we will have a girl and a boy in the Ovett household.
