Good luck to the Junior Team who start the defence of their title this week.
The Junior Section won the Dockerill's Brighton Junior League last year, having won the league 2 years previous. The junior team will play two matches this week, the first at East Brighton Golf Club and the second at West Hove Golf Club. Throughout the season I will keep you updated with their progress.

Congratulations to Chris Mullin who won the Osmor Trophy on Bank Holiday Monday.
The Osmor Trophy is played by the top 36 golfers from the 2013-2014 Order of Merit. Chris recorded a nett 62, a very good score taking into account the rainy conditions experienced on the day.
Four Players finished with a nett 66, these were separated on count back - 2nd Wade Ayling, 3rd Simon Brant, 4th Gary Clark & 5th John Franks. The gross competition was won by Danny Burchell with a gross 72, Graham Snelgrove finished second with a gross 75 and Richard Copeland completed the top three with a gross 76, winning on count back from Jack Burns and Tim Cattaneo.
Chris used his new driver for the first time on the morning of the competition, obviously to great effect. Chris took advantage of the fantastic offer Callaway are currently offering, buy a Callaway X2Hot Driver and receive a Free Callaway X2Hot Hybrid worth £169.
Anthony Martin continued the exceptional scoring in recent competitions in winning the May Midweek Medal. He recorded a fantastic nett 57 to win by three shots from Peter Mullett. Third place was claimed by Nigel Swinscoe with a nett 66. Anthony had his handicap reduced by an incredible 5 shots to 22 following the results. Congratulations to Anthony.
This week I took a few days holiday and travelled to Scotland, whilst there I played Dundonald Links Golf Club.
The course will hold this year's British Boys Amateur Championship. The golf course only opened in 2003, having been designed by world renowned course designer Kyle Philips. Kyle Philips is responsible for designing some of the world's best golf courses; these include The Grove, Kingsbarns, Celtic Manor and Valderrama. Despite its young age the course has a feel of a course 100 years older.
Here is the view from the par 3 11th Hole, protected by 3 of the deepest pot bunkers I have ever seen!
