The first 'major' of the year was held at Hassocks last Saturday with the East Meeting taking place, an 18 hole Medal with a Scratch and a Nett Trophy at stake. Hassocks Pro Shop stalwart Alex Mullins returned a brilliant score of gross 69 nett 66 to claim both Scratch and Nett prize and get his name on the honours board. Wanting to keep things to a Hassocks GC staff affair Greg Kemsley, General Manager, fired a gross 73 nett 68 to claim second place on countback. Clearly all the after work games of golf are paying dividends! Three players all finished with nett 68 with Andrew Glover taking 3rd place from Olly Cook.
