Sussex County Seniors - Captain's and Committee Invitation
Huge congratulations to Hassocks' Seniors section on winning the Sussex County Seniors Captain's and Committee Invitation. The seniors were represented on the day by Geoff Barden (Seniors Captain), Ian Smith, Tom O' Malley and Brian Austin.
The event took place last Tuesday, 18th April, at East Sussex National and was played over the East Course, which has hosted the Men's European Tour European Open previously.
The format for the day was 4 ball better ball, our 2 pairs returned a fantastic total of 80 points over the difficult and testing course. This was enough to claim the trophy beating Mid Sussex on count back.
This is the third time that Hassocks have won this trophy having previously won the event in 2007 & 2010.

Ammended Stroke Indexes
As I'm sure many of you will be aware Hassocks GC have recently amended the stroke index of the holes. For all you SkyCaddie uses this has meant the stroke index of the individual holes has been incorrect. I'm pleased to be able to inform you, thanks to the efforts of Ian Smith, SkyCaddie have now updated the course information to reflect the changes we have made. Please sync your device and re-download Hassocks and the new information will be installed.
Brighton Junior Golf - JOLF

The Easter holidays saw us run 2 days of camps that were well attended and enjoyed by a number of children. The camps saw the children come along for the whole day and take part in lots of different games and activities on and around the green and on the practice ground. As well as feeding them we also spent time on the golf course. Some excellent skills were on show. We feel we achieved our aim of providing the children with the opportunity to have fun, make friends and get better.
Watch this space as we will be announcing dates for May half term and Summer holidays camps over the next couple of weeks.
Weekend Dates
This weekend sees the start of our weekly JOLF coaching sessions. We are offering the following sessions on a Sunday afternoon.
Sunday 2:00-3:00 KS1 age 4-7
Sunday 3:15-4:15 KS2 age 7-11
Sunday 4:30-5:30 KS2/3 age 7-14
We have a number of spaces still available and for those children that have not attended a JOLF session before we are pleased to offer a FREE taster session.
