Welcome to another edition of your pro shop newsletter.

What a strange week the last week has been. Saturday afternoon the ‘Beast from the East’ returned and both Hassocks and Pyecombe were shut due to snow.

Unfortunately the snow and cold temperatures meant both courses didn’t fully open until Wednesday. But I’m pleased to report both courses are now back to normal and ready for the golfing season to begin.

The snow, however, doesn’t necessarily mean a quite week for us at #MikeOvettGolf. With the swing studio we are able to continue teaching and custom fitting without any interruption. We have also spent the time adding 2 new installations – more to follow later.

Club news

Hassocks AGM and Captains' Drive-in

The Annual AGM will take place in the Clubhouse on Thursday 29th March meeting at 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start, which is open to all members to attend. The new Captains for 2018/2019 will start their year from the Friday evening. The Captains' Drive-in will take place the following morning at 8.00am at the start of the Spring Meeting. I’m sure the new Captains will be delighted for all your support and to witness their drive.

The Masters event

On Saturday 7th April - that's The Masters Saturday - we are running a Texas Scramble competition made up of teams of four off 10% combined handicap, costing £10 per person which includes a buffet after the competition with tee times starting at 11am. You can then stay at the club and watch Saturday's coverage fo The Masters.

An honest review
