Titleist 915 - Pre-order now!
We have started to take pre-orders for the new Titleist 915 driver. The driver is scheduled to be released on the 14th November, so order now and take delivery before everybody else. Demand has already been high for this eagerly anticipated club, the first driver from Titleist for two years.
Achieve more distance through higher speed and lower spin created by the new 'Active Recoil Channel'. The wide sole channel delivers more distance by actively flexing at impact to launch the ball off the face with higher speed and lower spin. Clubs without ARC technology have a rigid sole and deflect more into the crown at impact, creating less energy transfer.

Ben Deacon Memorial Cup
Congratulation to Rob Temple-Smithson on winning the Ben Deacon Memorial Cup last weekend.
Rob recorded a fantastic score of 44 points to snatch victory away from Ben Johnson on countback. Ben was leader in the clubhouse for most of the afternoon with Rob returning his score from the last group in the field. Third place was claimed by Scott Kemsley with a score of 40 points, edging out Danny Burchell on countback. Danny scored a gross 69 to return his score of 40 points, playing off a handicap of three.
The twos' pot was shared by four people on Sunday: Danny Burchell, Paul Gumbrell, Andy Hinchliffe and Ben Johnson. Each player collected £24.50.
The nearest the pins were won by: Ben Johnson (6th and 17th), Greg Kemsley (10th) and Jon Aikens (13th).
The competition standard scratch score was reduced by one shot to 67, reflecting the good scores posted on the day. Rob and Ben both had their handicaps reduced to 13 following the competition.
Following this weekend's results, please see the current Order of Merit standings:
Do you check your score card after you complete a competition round?
Unfortunately one member suffered this weekend by not checking their card.
Rule 6-6 d. Wrong Score for Hole:
The competitor is responsible for the correctness of the score recorded for each hole on his/her score card. If they return a score for any hole lower than actually taken, they are disqualified. If they return a score for any hole higher than actually taken, the score as returned stands.
Make sure you check your next score card closely, especially if you play well!! If you are unsure then come and see us in the shop, we are here to help.
