Captain's Day
Last Saturday 14 teams of 4 players played inCaptain's Day. The format chosen by CaptainPaul Mayes was a Yellow Ball TeamStableford. The best 3 scores from 4 counted oneach hole with the yellow ball counting fordouble points.
A fun day was had by everyone who attended andthe winning team was brought home by ViceCaptain Andy Taylor. Andy'sAmigos returned to the clubhouse witha score of 167 points. The team members wereAndy Taylor, Denis Nixon, ColinRafferty and Wade Ayling.I'm sure the vice-captain will not be alteringthe format for next year! Second place wasclaimed by Lee's Lovely Ladieswith 159 points, the team members were LeeMurray, Howard Lloyd,Scott Kemsley and MikeFielding. Completing the top threewere Rob's Robbers with 154points, the team members were RobTemple-Smithson, Sid Fisher,Geoff Hydes and DavidAllbury.

Our thoughts are with Sally as she comes toterms with the loss of both her Mum and Dadwithin 3 months of each other.
The friendly matches are in full swing. We had alovely game at West Chiltington which resultedin a 2 to 1 win for Hassocks. The greens therewere superb having come back from devastation acouple of years ago. We welcomed Lindfieldladies to Hassocks and had a good day with a winto Hassocks.
The Struggles Cup this year was won by JennieSands.
JuniorTeam
This week our Junior Team travelled to MidSussex Golf Club in the Dockerill's JuniorLeague as defending champions. Playing fourballbetter ball Harry Nelson(pictured in white) and Callum Gates(pictured in black) returned a fantastic scoreof 47 points! This score was enough to win firstplace! Well played boys.
I'm delighted to see the continued success ofthe junior section at Hassocks Golf Club. A hugethank you to Laurie Cassar forhis continued efforts for the juniors.
